Perform Act One, Scene 5: “The Party Scene”. Romeo and Juliet wee small Act One test.
3rd Period:
District Literary Assessment: Read excerpt, answer questions over excerpt and write short constructed response.
5th Period:
Romeo and Juliet wee small Act One test.
6th Period:
Journal:
No person is a failure until s/he blames others for the failures. Do you agree or disagree? Why? Can you relate it to your own life or to another person’s life?
What lesson might be learned from this?
Sentence Combining; Unit 2; combine sentences together into paragraphs, then complete story.
Read Ender’s Game.

Finish literary assessment.
Thursday, April 5th:
1st, 5th and 6th Periods:
English Workshop; “gerund phrases”; pages 152 and 153; exercises 11 and 12. This will be due on Tuesday, April 10th.

Begin Romeo and Juliet, Act Two. Identify metaphors, similes and personifications.
3rd Period:
Journal: Using your Unit One words from your Vocabulary Workshop, please write five sentences with gerunds.
English Workshop; “gerund phrases”; pages 159-160; exercises 10 and 11. This will be d ue on Tuesday, April 10th.
