1st Period:

Finish reading Act V of ROMEO and JULIET.

1st, 3rd and 5th Periods:

Go over Vocabulary and adjective clause handout for Act lV.

6th Period:

Test over vocabulary from VOCABULARY FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT; pages 90 - 96.

1st, 3rd and 5th Periods:

Review for test over Act lV. Test on Act lV. Pass out vocabulary, literary terms and grammar handouts for ROMEO and JULIET, Act V.

6th Period:

Mini-test over gerunds.

Break into groups, read, summarize, come up with questions and answers for ENDER'S GAME.


Wednesday, May 9th

1st, 3rd and 5th Periods:

Review for test over Act V. Go over handouts for Act V for ROMEO and JULIET. Test over Act V for ROMEO and JULIET.

Break into four groups of four or five. You will select a scene which I will approve; then you will rewrite the scene in contemporary English. The scene may be rewritten in hip-hop, country, valley or any other genre you can think of. The scene must have a script and be faithful to the story line of the play.

6th Period:

Ender’s Game Journal.

Break into groups, read, summarize, and ask and answer questions.


Thursday, May 10th:

1st, 3rd and 5th Periods:

Continue working on scenes.

6th Period:

Compile questions over Ender, Graff, Anderson, Peter, Valentine, Bonzo and do socratic circle.

Friday, May 11th:


1st, 3rd and 5th Periods:

Present your scenes and scripts. Your scenes will be videotaped.

6th Period:

Do socratic circle over the following characters: Ender, Graff, Anderson, Peter, Valentine, and Bonzo.
