APRIL 21ST
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
FOR
9TH GRADE ENGLISH

MONDAY, APRIL 21ST:

First and Second Periods:

Today we will analyze Juliet’s soliloquy in Act 2, Scene 5, by finding examples of personification, metaphor, and simile. We will write down the quotation, identify which category the quotation belongs, illustrate the quotation and then translate into contemporary English. (Don’t forget to note the line and scene number. This will come in handy when you write that essay!)

We will then go over Act 2, Scene 6, and of course, do our reading logs. We will then review the Act 2 vocabulary and character packet, and review Act 2 for our our test tomorrow.

Remember, your ROMEO and JULIET vocabulary packets are due on the day of the test.

Fifth Period:

Go over the “Contrast and Comparison of Romeo’s Moods” from Act 1, Scene 4 (before the party scene) and Act 2, Scene 2 (the balcony scene). This assignment will be due on Wednesday, April 23rd.
