MARCH 16th - 20th WEEKLY AGENDA FOR 9TH GRADE HONORS


Monday, March 16th:
Work on your compare and contrast essay for “Marigolds” and “Forgive My Guilt”. The finished product should include the final draft (either typed or NEATLY written with no cross outs), a rough draft and your Cornell notes on the short story and your notes on the poem.

Tuesday, March 17th:
Shortened day!
Your essay is due today.

Wednesday, March 18th:
Please bring your VOCABULARY FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT to class today. An assignment, pages 53 - 60, exercises 1 - 7, will be given to you and will be due on Monday, March 23rd.
Today we will begin working on ROMEO and JULIET!
“Words from Shakespeare” and “Phrases from Shakespeare” handouts.

Thursday, March 19th:
Open House from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Please bring your ENGLISH WORKSHOP to class today. An assignment on infinitives and infinitive phrases, pages 161 and 162, will be given today. This will be due on Tuesday, March 24th.
Today we will be doing “Shakespearean Insults” and begin reading Act One, Scene One in ROMEO and JULIET.




Friday, March 20th:
Minimum day! School lets out after fourth period (12:40).Read and act out Act One, Scene One from ROMEO and JULIET and watch the movie!
