Go over ROMEO and JULIET Act One Test.

1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th Periods:

Go over essay writing techniques. Rewrites for the “Junk Food” essay will be due on Wednesday, April 11th.


TUESDAY, APRIL 10TH:

1st, 3rd and 5th Periods:

Pass out Act Two vocabulary and characterization handouts for ROMEO and JULIET.
Read Act ll, Scene 1 of ROMEO and JULIET. Find three examples of metaphor, simile and personification in the “Balcony Scene”.

6th Period:

Please bring your ENGLISH WORKSHOP to class today. We will review linking verbs. The homework will be due on Thursday, April 12th.
Work on character handout for ENDER’S GAME.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11TH:

1st, 3rd and 5th Periods:

Please bring your ENGLISH WORKSHOP to class today. We will review linking verbs. The homework assignment will be due on Friday, April 13th.

Please bring your VOCABULARY FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT today. Pages 71 - 77 will be assigned. The vocabulary homework will be due on Wednesday, April 18th.

3rd Period:

Write five sentences with your Unit One Vocabulary words using compound sentence structure (sentences with semicolons).

Write a short story about Ender using five of your vocabulary words from pages 71 - 77 in your VOCABULARY FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT.
