Time Line:
Poe departed from Richmond, Virginia, to Baltimore, Maryland. His eventual goal was to go to New York City!!!!
Early morning of Thursday, September 27th Poe set out from Virginia to Baltimore.
There is no reliable evidence what happened between that time and October 3rd when he was discovered in a tavern, ill and delirious.
Physician is a doctor!
Taverns were used as polling places. In the 19th century women were not allowed to vote so that was why taverns were used as polling places.
Polling places were where men went to vote!!!
Poe was found in a delirious state, feverish and drifting in and out of consciousness, and dressed in a stranger’s clothing.
David: a printer by the name of Joseph Walker discovered Poe looking very bad.

Stopped at page 184, “When Snodgrass arrived at Gunnar’s Hall, he found Poe….”
Right hand column, second paragraph.
