MONDAY, MAY 5TH:


FIRST PERIOD:

Go over answers to Act 3 ROMEO and JULIET test.
Your test corrections will be due no later than Wednesday, May 7th.
Begin reading Act 4.

SECOND PERIOD:

Test over Act 3 of ROMEO and JULIET.

5TH PERIOD:

“Isn’t It Ironic” sketch.

Pass out the vocabulary worksheets for ROMEO and JULIET. These will be due on the day of the test for Act 3.

TUESDAY, MAY 6TH:

FIRST PERIOD:

Pass out Act Four vocabulary packet.

SECOND PERIOD:

Go over answers to Act 3 ROMEO and JULIET test. The corrected test is due no later than Thursday, May 8th.

Start reading Act 4 of ROMEO and JULIET.

Pass out Act 4 vocabulary and grammar packet. Quickly go over.

Pass out additional worksheets on gerunds. This will be due on Thursday, May 8th.


FIFTH PERIOD:

Your homework from ENGLISH WORKSHOP; “gerunds”; pages 149-150; exercises 9 and 10, is due today.

FIRST PERIOD:

Read Juliet’s soliloquy in Act 4, Scene 3, and then put in contemporary English. Find four examples of imagery, and illustrate them, using the original quotation and your contemporary interpretation as captions for the illustrations. Find at least one example of personification, metaphor and simile and illustrate them, using the original quotation and your contemporary interpretation as captions for the illustrations.

If you haven’t already taken your Act 4 test on Thursday, then you will definitely take it on Friday. Remember: the day of the test is predicated on when we finish reading and reviewing the act, and of course, your Act 4 worksheets will be due on the day of the test.


SECOND PERIOD:

Quick review of Act 4 and then the test. Remember: your Act 4 worksheets are due on the day of the test.


FIFTH PERIOD:

Your gerund hand out is due today.
