Weekly Schedule for 9th Grade English
Monday, December 15th:
Read THE ODYSSEY; Books 1 - 4; A Son Seeks a Father; The Isle of Calypso; The Princess Nausicaa, and then we will act out the scenes.
Packet for Books 1 - 4 will be passed out. This will be due on Wednesday, December 17th.
Please keep a captain’s log for THE ODYSSEY which should contain a brief summary, vocabulary words, examples of figurative language: metaphors, similes, personifications, and irony, etc.; personal responses.
Tuesday, December 16th:
Shortened day!
Read THE ODYSSEY: The Isle of Ciccones; The Land of the Lotus Eaters; The Island of Polyphemus, the Cyclops, and then we will act out the scenes.

Read The Odyssey: The Isle of Circes, the Witch; Hades, the Underworld; Back to the Isle of Circes; Charybdis and Scylla; The Island of Helios, the Sun God, and then we will act out the scenes.
Another packet will be given to you today. This will be due on Friday, December 19th.

Thursday, December 18th:
Read The Odyssey; The Isle of Calypso; The Court of Antinous; Odysseus’Return to Ithaca; Meeting Between Father and Son; Argos the Dog, and then we will act out the scenes.
Please work on your captain’s log.
Friday, December 19th:
Read The Odyssey; The Great Bow; Meeting Between Odysseus and Penelope; Death in the Great Hall; Odysseus and Penelope Reunited, and then we will act out the scenes.
Please work on your captain’s log.
If we do not finish we will continue working on The Odyssey when we return from the Winter Break on Monday, January 12th.

ms. bridges you never stop do you. though we never agreed in anything when i was your class. i can see we still cant agree with movies or books. i remembmer your class as if i was there just yesterday. your honsety which made me respect and honor you. though i didnt show your a heck of a teacher. and you told me that smoking weed wasnt good. just to tell youre the only person who told me this. and at that moment my lack of expernices didnt understand. because of this i met the greatest teacher in hollywood high Ms. leonoard. and i cant thank you for this. after leaving hollywood high i got heavy on drugs but found my way back home. Anyways i just wanted to say give some slacks to the student. i mean what do you expect from a 14 year olds. btw i was 14 years old when i was in your class. hope you get to learn french and good luck in life.
