Weekly Schedule

9th Grade English


Monday, September 22nd:

Work on “THE SNIPER” handouts: “Situatonal Irony”; “Verbs”; “Revising Paragraphs’. Finish for homework tonight. Will be due on Tuesday.

Break into groups and rewrite “The Sniper” from the point of view of the following characters: the other sniper, the soldier in the tank, the old woman and the driver of the tank and finally, from the omniscient point of view.

Tuesday, September 23rd:

Shortened day!

You will have some time to work on your projects.

Wednesday, September 24th:

1st Period:

We will have guest artists today who will work with us on “The Sniper” and with point of view.

4th Period:

We will work at the beginning of the period on rehearsing our rewrites and then we will begin performing our scenes.


Thursday, September 25th:

1st Period:

We will work at the beginning of the period on rehearsing our rewrites and then we will begin performing our scenes.

4th Period:

Finish our presentations.


Friday, September 26th:

First Period:

Today we will be visited by our guest artists again where we will continue working on point of view and “The Sniper”.


4th Period:

Our vocabulary books will be assigned today (finally!). Pages 4 - 15; exercises 1 - 4 and 6 - 9 will be assigned and will be due on Thursday, October 2nd. We will break into groups of two, choose two words to present to the class by either pantomime, charades or by a skit.
